Alex Saghatelian and Christine Soussa-Saghatelian

“The upheavals of 2020 reveal the unthinkable; those who rise up to rethink, reshape, and rebuild with enthusiasm, strength, wisdom, love, and perseverance will be the ChangeMakers of the future.”

Alex Saghatelian and Christine Soussa-Saghatelian are enthusiastic annual AUA scholarship supporters who are committed to inspiring and impactful causes.  Alex Saghatelian’s career spans over 20 years leading business transformation for Fortune 500 companies to consistently deliver high performance results. Alex is considered one of the top global pricing thought leaders and is currently the worldwide Vice President of Packaging & Pricing Strategy at ServiceNow. Christine Soussa is an accomplished sales and business development executive, with experience across multiple industries. Currently, Christine is a Senior Global Client Director at Equinix. With backgrounds in Lebanon, Greece, Portugal, Egypt, Iran, and Russia, they embrace their Armenian heritage wholeheartedly, actively participating in the Armenian community in numerous ways as leaders, philanthropists, and advisors.

“Education enables us to explore our world and empowers us to successfully adapt across a variety of industries, cultures, and languages,” Christine and Alex say. “We were both raised in households that cherish a lifelong love of learning. This focus on education created a foundation that opened several exciting opportunities. We support AUA because it embodies a holistic approach to learning.”

“Armenia has the potential to harness its talent on a global scale, becoming a center of excellence where new technologies are cultivated while attracting and inviting global expertise to plant roots in Armenia,” Alex and Christine remark. “We live in a fast-paced, incredibly interconnected, and dynamic world; what each of us does daily matters,” they reflect. “It is not enough to have the intention to do something good and meaningful; the intention must be translated into action. Thus, in addition to our CANN-named scholarship, it was important to be ChangeMakers because inspiring others is what makes an impact. We wanted to further embrace a mindset of vast possibilities, excellence, creative problem solving and empathetic leadership.”

“Armenia is a unique country with a vibrant and poignant history and optimistic future. The resilience of our ancestors is in our DNA, fueling our willpower with vigor and love. As our world continues to be increasingly interconnected, and as Armenia advances, AUA has a critical role to play in preparing our scholars for the vast possibilities and challenges that the future will bring. The upheavals of 2020 reveal the unthinkable; those who rise up to rethink, reshape, and rebuild with enthusiasm, strength, wisdom, love, and perseverance will be the ChangeMakers of the future.”
